Netley Abbey on Southampton
Description
Depicts the famous ruins of Netley Abbey, which has long appealed to artists, poets and dramatists. In the village of Netley, near Southampton in Hampshire, it was originally a medieval monastry founded in 1239 for Cistercian monks (Roman Catholic).
