Description
Informal portrait of 11762 Gunner (Gnr) William Lyall with visitors at Seymour Camp. Left to right: Margaret "Dottie" Lyall (mother of William) who is knitting; William Lyall; Hilda Lyall (nee Maxwell, wife of William) and Eric Humphill. This image is from the collection of Hilda Lyall, the wife of 11762 Gunner (Gnr) William Lyall who attended this camp prior to embarkation. Hilda took photographs at Seymour camp and also at Broadmeadows Camp and Port Melbourne in 1914 when her husband's brother 1277 Gunner (Gnr) Brian Lyall enlisted.
