History / Summary
1914-14 Star awarded to 2305 Lance Corporal Richard Norman Kirby, 20th Battalion, AIF. Richard was born in Dubbo, New South Wales and was working as a labourer when he enlisted 30 July 1915. He was 24 years old. During his service with the 20th Battalion, Kirby was wounded in France and died from his wounds there on 20 August 1918. He was 27 years old. He is buried in St Sever Cemetery Extension, Haute-Normandie, France.
