Description
Collection relating to General David John Hurley, Chief of the Defence Force Australia, Afghanistan and Australia, 2012-13.
Collection consists of a red fabric-lined presentation folder with the Australian Defence Force crest and "Chief of the Defence Force Australia" on the cover containing typed copies of two speeches delivered by CDF. One speech was delivered on 6 August 2013 at the official opening of the Memorial's Afghanistan Exhibition and the second speech is a eulogy for the fallen delivered on 2 November 2013 to their families when they visited Tarin Kowt. Also includes a handwritten draft for an ADF Facebook post after five servicemen were killed in August 2012.
