Description
Studio portrait of a soldier thought to be 3923 Private (Pte) Edwind Augustus "Neddy" Schofield, 45th Battalion AIF. Pte Schofield, a slaughterman from Riverstone, NSW, enlisted on 17 August 1915. He embarked from Sydney on 20 December 1915 aboard HMAT Suevic (A29) and was killed in action at Bellicourt, France, on 19 September 1918 aged 37.
