Wallet 1 of 1 – Consists of one Employment and Efficiency Record and one Certificate of Service of Stoker Lindsay Edward Donald, dated between 1941 and 1945. These documents record details such as personal particulars, postings, types of work undertaken, efficiency and qualifications.
Also included in the collection is a HMAS Canberra Christmas card from Lindsay to his sisters Marge and Beverly, inside an envelope, an Australian Women's Weekly article about the sinking of HMAS Canberra (dated September 5, 1942) and Australian Magazine article 'Scapegoat' about the sinking of HMAS Canberra.
Stoker Lindsay Edward Donald enlisted to the Royal Australian Navy on 30 January 1921. He served on a variety of bases and ships, including HMAS Cerberus, Canberra, Shropshire, Victory II, and Lonsdale. Stoker Donald was discharged on 3 November 1945.
