Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 388 Private Roland Charles Higgs, 41st Australian Infantry Battalion, Egypt 1916.
Collection consists of one letter dated 24 July 1916 written by Higgs to his mother while based in Egypt. The letter discusses tourist activities in Egypt, his unit being divided in two, the postal situation, and his opinions of local customs; plus one partial letter, c.1917, written by Higgs to his mother discussing family affairs, friends in his unit and the postage situation.
