Studio portrait of, right, 3357 Driver (Dvr) William Keerin Richardson, 3rd Australian Light Horse Brigade, of Coleraine, Victoria, and Frank Hutchins. A labourer prior to enlistment, Dvr Richardson embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Barambah (A37) on 21 December 1914. Dvr Richardson served at Gallipoli and in the Middle East with the Anzac Mounted Division before returning to Australia in November 1918. He enlisted for service during the Second World War in June 1941 and served under the number V16730 with 9 Garrison Battalion until 1944. Frank Hutchins has not been further identified. Dvr Richardson was one of four brothers who served at Gallipoli: 14 Corporal George Henry Richardson, 3rd Australian Light Horse Brigade; 2518 Private (Pte) Charles John Richardson, 16th Battalion, and 1634 Pte Alfred Richardson, 14th Battalion, who died of wounds on 21 August 1915.
