Improvised explosive device (IED) educational display board and accessories: Special Operations Task Group, Camp Russell
Description
Square wood display board with painted black border. Secured to the board by plastic straps are pieces of black plastic and strips of wood, a receiver, and mobile phone transmitter. They are connected by a wire map to a yellow plastic chemical drum and syringe mounted at the centre. The board originally had explanatory captions attached and a dedication plaque to the AWM. These are now located separately - REL48382.002 & .003. A nine volt battery is attached to the lower left edge (REL48382.004).
History / Summary
The display was used to educate all task group personnel on IEDs and was on display at the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG) HQ building in Camp Russell
