Informal portrait of 82 Quartermaster Sergeant (QMS) William Henry McKeown and 260 Sergeant (Sgt) Russel William Gibson, both of 1st Light Horse Regiment, sitting outside their dugout. Sgt Gibson was killed in action on 7 August 1915 when his regiment attacked a Turkish position at Pope's Hill. One of a series of photographs from an album relating to the service of Lieutenant William Hopkin 'Hop' James, 1st Light Horse Regiment.
