Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) William Jenkin, 7th Battalion and his wife Enid Alston Beresford Jenkin. A surveyor prior to enlisting in the Australian Infantry Force, 2nd Lt Jenkin embarked from Melbourne on 1 April 1916 on HMAT Suffolk. He was killed in action at Purbricks Sap, on the Bapaume road, Pozieres on 19 August 1916.
