Description

The small cottage in South Fremantle that was built by the Ugly Men’s Association in 1918 for Ruby Luff and her children. Ruby had been widowed when her husband, 1865A Private John Stannan Luff, was killed during the Battle of Messines Ridge on 7 June 1917. She lived in this house until her own death in 1968.
