Collection relating to Lieutenant Walde Gerard Fisher 42nd Australian Infantry Battalion
Description
Studio portrait of 1787 (Lt) Lieutenant Walde Gerard Fisher, signed 'Yours always, Walde 10.2.18' in the bottom right corner. A university student prior to enlistment, Lt Fisher embarked from Brisbane with the 2nd Reinforcements, 42nd Battalion on HMAT Boorara (A42) on 16 August 1916. He was killed in action in France on 5 April 1918.
