Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of WX25721 Private Colin Neil Junner, 102 Australian Casualty Clearing Station, 1945.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection consists of a letter Junner sent to his friend, John "Jack" Poole in December 1945, just after Poole's discharge from the Second Australian Imperial Force. Junner writes of his journey to Lae, of his current work, of the weather and surrounds around Lae, and of seeing the wrecks of some 200 aircraft in the Markham Valley. He also discusses the points system for repatriation, his dislike of Lae, and friends and acquaintances.
