Collection relating to the First World War service of brothers 2202 Lance Corporal Edward Maxwell, 3 Battalion, and 16211 Sapper Frank Maxwell, 5 Field Company Engineers, 1915-1918.
Wallet 1 of 1 - Collection includes three photographic postcards and two embroidered postcards Edward sent to his nieces and to his brother Harry. He wishes them Merry Christmas in 1915 and 1916, briefly updates them on his movements, and sends his love. The collection also includes a greeting card and embroided postcard Frank sent to Harry, wishing him a happy birthday and, later, a Merry Christmas 1918.
