Description

Studio portrait of an unidentified soldier. Inscribed on the bottom right of the photograph is "Yours truly Phil". A sticker on the back is of the 17th Battalion colour patch so Phil is likely from the same unit as Moss Brasington.

A labourer from Bombala NSW, Pte Brasington enlisted on 21 October 1916 and embarked with the 17th Battalion, 18th Reinforcements, aboard HMAT Suevic (A29) on 11 November 1916.
