Description

One original hardcover notebook kept by then Staff Sergeant Major (SSM) Walter Reginald Olifent, whilst attending the 11th Party (Rifle Qualifying) Course at the School of Musketry, Randwick NSW, January - February 1914. Contains handwritten notes taken by Olifent whilst attending the course and several enclosed pages of typed notes from the course. Olifent enlisted in the AIF on 17 August 1914, and served as 1 Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) with 6th Infantry Battalion, and was wounded at Gallipoli.
