Peter Gunning interviewed for the documentary "Hell No We Won't Go"
Description
Professor Peter Gunning was at university in Melbourne when he refused to register for national service, burnt his draft card and went underground. He participated in the Siege at Monash University, brought the draft resistance pirate radio to Sydney and in Sydney with others surrendered to the police in late 1972. His court appearance was held in Melbourne the day after the election of the Whitlam Labor government. He is one of Australia’s foremost Cancer researchers. (Description provided by interviewer).
