Portrait of the Kibble brothers on camels, with the Sphinx in the background. Identified are (left) 1761 Private (Pte) Leonard Kibble (enlisted as Leonard Vere Merton Caple), 13th Infantry Battalion and (middle) 966 Sergeant (Sgt) Peter Clarke Kibble, 13th Infantry Battalion. The third soldier is unidentified. Sgt Peter Clarke Kibble was killed in action at Bullecourt on 11 April 1917, when shell fire destroyed the dressing station he had attended to receive treatment for a leg wound.
