Studio portrait of 403768 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Harry Stroud, No. 24 Squadron, RAAF. Flt Lt Stroud was killed in air operations over Borneo on 2 July 1945.
This photograph was enclosed in a collection of letters written to the family of 430751 Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Arthur James Hogg, by the parents of the other members of the flight crew killed when their aircraft, Liberator A72-64, was hit by enemy fire and crashed near Balikpapan, Borneo, on 2 July 1945.
