Collection relating to Eric Dark
Description
Studio portrait of Captain Dr Eric Payten Dark MC, Royal Army Medical Corps. Dr Dark was one of the first 100 Australians doctors to take the opportunity offered to senior medical students to expedite their graduation to serve in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Dr Dark received a Military Cross for his actions evacuating wounded under fire at Boesinghe on 31 July 1917. He also served during the Second World War N347269 Lance Sergeant Dr Dark, 19th Battalion.
