Kennedy, a coachpainter of Kensington, NSW, was killed in action at Poperinghe, Belgium, on 29 September 1917. Kennedy, originally of Glasgow, Scotland, was a veteran of the Boer War, serving with the Tullibardine Scottish Horse.
