Collection related to 2784336 Signalman Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, and his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968.
An early concert at the Luscombe Bowl, Nui Dat, Vietnam. One of 477 colour 35mm transparencies taken or collected by 2784336 Signalman Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, relating to his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968. Weller wrote to his family: "We went up Sunday afternoon to see a show John O’Grady brought over. The main stay of the group was Sharon O’Brien, a young Sydney singer who, apart from being a pretty good looker has a fine voice too. It wasn’t a bad show really – quite a few laughs and it relieved the tension over here somewhat. What John O’Grady can do though I’ll never know – apart from swearing – but all in all it wasn’t too bad a show." The Luscombe Bowl stage was completed soon after, but this show was conducted from the back of a truck with a tarpaulin erected over it.
