Collection related to 2784336 Signalman Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, and his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968.
Portrait of 1731699 Signalman (Sig) David Nicol Robinson, 104 Signal Squadron, standing in the water with a pair of waterskis at Back Beach, Vung Tau, Vietnam. One of 477 colour 35mm transparencies taken or collected by 2784336 Signalman (Sig) Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, relating to his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968. Sig Weller notes: "He [Sig Robinson] has a float around his waist and two skis and all he needs is a towboat. He did get it but the fact the water was just above his knees was a hint that something else was happening ... When he came walking back from the general direction of Hong Kong, with the skis under his arm, the penny dropped. The tide had well and truly gone out and there was going to be no more skiing that afternoon."
