Description
Portrait of Sgt Rex Hazelwood. An inscription on the reverse reads " ...Your humble servant just a few days before leaving for the front. Pardon the boots. They are 10's but I selected them with a view to wearing if neccessary 3 pairs of sox [sic] so that in the wintry circumstances I anticipate appearances must be subsidiary to comfort...". This photograph is part of a collection relating to the service of 17317 Sergeant Rex Hazelwood, 1st Divisional Signal Company.
