Description

Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX27180 Sergeant Archibald George Moles, Australian Army Pay Corps, Singapore and Japan, 1942-1945. Collection consists of 18 items including letters to Moles' family regarding his status as a prisoner of war, Three menus from 1941, a newsclipping about Moles' provision of evidence regarding Japanese war crimes, handwritten notes relating to cash transactions, cash receipts and Moles' interrogation information. Moles was responsible for maintaining the financial records of 'J Force' in Changi Prisoner of War camp from May 1943.
