Kozlak, Janina (Factory Worker, b. 1919 - d.?)
Collection relating to the Second World War experience of Polish factory worker Janina Kozlak, Markkleeberg, Germany, 1945. Collection consists of one photographic identity work pass for the Junkers Aircraft factory and one camp pass. Janina was given the ID number 34419 and was housed at the Damhirsch Hostel in Markkleeberg from 1945. She worked at the Junkers factory as part of a forced labour program run by the German Government using prisoners from France, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Russia and Yugoslavia. A rough translation of the reverse of the photo ID is as follows: '1. This card is factory owned and may neither be pledged nor passed on to third parties, 2. Loss is to be reported immediately, 3. ID are to be returned unsolicited at the end of the service relationship. The obligation to return is a commandment of the Reich government'.
