Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of an unknown Australian Soldier, Sydney, 1919. Collection consists of one handwritten letter to Ruby Bulkeley signed by 'Toddles' on 10 March 1919 from the North Head Quarantine Station in Sydney. The letter details the conditions at the station and the state of some of the returned soldiers, the soldier's journey home to Australia aboard the 'Kanowna' and mentions the possibility that he served in the 29th Australian Infantry Battalion.
