Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of 430480 Warrant Officer Peter John Wheeler, RAAF. Collection consists of a flying log book kept by 430480 Warrant Officer Peter John Wheeler covering 2 June 1943 to 18 September 1945. The log book details the hours flown on various aircraft including DH82 Tiger Moth, P40 Kittyhawk, Fairey Battle and Avro Anson while training in Australia. The final two pages log hours spent on a Link Trainer, aerodromes used and units that the Wheeler was a member of. Also included are 3 loose pages of training notes on the Kitty Hawk, plus 2 other pages entitled 'Half-yearly return of flying hours' for first half 1943 and a flying return for period up to 31 December 1944.
