Enlisted: Aged 20 years: 18th August 1914
(Wounded & Missing. On or about April 25th 1915)
Following is copy from 8 A.I.F. Orderly Room book:- “Sgt. Merrit of 8 A.I.F. stated at Inquiry held by O.C. of Battalion that he saw Greenwood at the furthest point reached in the attack of April 25. When the order to retire was given informant saw Greenwood get up to retire but he never reached the position to which they retired.”
