Informal outdoor portrait of 3204 Private (Pte) Ivor Denis Donovan, 54th Battalion. A farmer from Stanthorpe, Queensland, Pte Donovan enlisted on 18 August 1916 and embarked with the 54th Battalion, 8th Reinforcements, aboard HMAT Suevic (A29) on 11 November 1916. Pte Donovan was transferred to the 56th Battalion in October 1918. He returned to Australia in June 1919.
