Gold bullion embroidered badge of the Victorian Rifle Association showing Queen Victoria crown, crossed rifles, laurel wreath, "V.R.A.", "PRO DEO ET PATRIA VICTORIA" and scroll with "QUEENS THIRTY" and date "1892" underneath. These badges were awarded annually to the thirty best shots in the association. The association had strong links with militia units of the period. The central roundel bearing state motto was originally dark blue cloth but this has been eaten away leaving a cream ground.
