Probably Brisbane, Queensland. Studio portrait, probably taken at time of enlistment in Brisbane, of Private (later Second Lieutenant) Herbert Henry Parke Hamilton and his brother (seated) Quartermaster Sergeant William Frederick Joseph Hamilton. Second Lieutenant Hamilton died of wounds on 14 August 1918. Another brother Robert Peyton Hamilton served as a Lieutenant with the 20th Battalion, London Regiment and was killed in action on 25 September 1915 at Loos.
