Portrait of Chief Petty Officer J Rogers GC DSM, who was posthumously awarded the George Cross in recognition of his outstanding gallantry and devotion to duty in saving life at sea when HMAS Voyager was sunk after collision with HMAS Melbourne, on the night of 1964-02-10. His DSM was awarded for service with the Royal Navy in 1944.
