British Pattern 1853 Cavalry Troopers Sword : British Army
Description
Pattern 1853 cavalry troopers sword. Three bar cast iron hilt with a sword knot slot near the pommel and compressed black leather grips rivetted through the tang. The inside edge has been bent downwards and the centre bar is stamped on the outside edge with A over 4BRA over B 42.The curved blade has a flat back with a single fuller to each side to within 9.5 inches of the double edged point. The ricasso is stamped the makers mark of a knights head.
