Imperial German Officer's Sword and Scabbard: Bavarian Infantry
Description
Imperial German Bavarian Infantry Officer's Dress sword and scabbard. The brass hilt has a B shape stirrup guard and plain back strap. The fishskin grip is bound with brass wire. The slightly curved nickel plated blade has a single fuller on both sides to 210 mm from the double edge spear point and there is a etched panel on both sides with the badge of Bavaria over IN TREUE FEST. The ricasso has the makers mark of a crown over crossed swords with C K & Co between the blades on the right side. The blued steel scabbard has a single loose ring on a band 70 mm from the throat.
