Arabian Shamshir Sword
Description
Arabian shamshir sword. The hilt has a straight brass crossguard with round button ends and double pointed langets. The grips are bone rivetted to the tang with a brass wire bound collar and the pommel is a L shape design. The curved blade has a broad double fuller to each side with three smaller grooves cut into the centre back fuller for about 400 mm and has a spear point. A sun and moon design is engraved into the right ricasso.
