47773 Leading Aircraftman (Later Corporal [Cpl]) W.A. Whittaker MID , Clive, South Australia of No 7 Mobile Works Squadron RAAF shown operating a bulldozer. Cpl Whittaker was accidentally killed in a ground accident in New Guinea on 29 April 1944. Cpl Whittaker has no known grave and is commemorated on the Lae Memorial.
