Description
Two photographs of NX71039 Major (later Lieutenant Colonel) Alick Herbert 'Charlie' Richards on the day of his embarkation to the Middle East. On 29 June 1941, the ship Queen Mary departed Fremantle, Western Australia carrying thousands of Australian servicemen. The collection includes one informal portrait with Major Bernie Walters and another with an unidentified Australian serviceman.
