History / Summary
Captured from De Wet at Rensburg Drift on 27 October 1900 by the NSW Mounted Rifles when acting as advanced guard to De Lisles' forces and presented to the regiment by Lord Roberts as a mark of his appreciation of the excellent work done by the regiment in the South African War.
