Description
Embroidered gold bullion and red silk thread Southern Cross in a circle with 'PRO DEO ET PATRIA', all within a laurel wreath, surmounted by a Queen Victoria crown. At the base a motto in red 'CEDE NULLIS'. All on a blue silk padded ground.
History / Summary
Officer's field service cap badge for the Bendigo and Castlemaine Infantry Regiment. Renamed the 8th Australian Infantry Regiment in 1903.
