Studio portrait of 209 Lance Corporal (L Cpl) John Boswell, B Squadron, 8th Australian Light Horse Regiment of Woorndoo, Vic. A labourer prior to his enlistment on 15 September 1914 he embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Star of Victoria on 25 February 1915. The son of Mr W and Daisy Boswell of Woorndoo, Vic, L Cpl Boswell was killed in action on 7 August 1915 age 22 years and is memorialised at Panel 6, Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli.
