Pouring over a map of Wewak, Beaufort bombing crews of No. 100 (Beaufort) Squadron RAAF yarn over a raid just concluded, while resting in their tents. Left to right: 415620 Flying Officer (FO, later Flight Lieutenant [Flt Lt]) Eric Ernest Crisp, Perth WA; 418562 FO (later Flt Lt) George Laurie Park, St Kilda Vic; 406784 FO (later Flt Lt) Jack Thorpe Hughes, Mullewa WA (lost on operations over New Guinea on 02 April 1945); 415733 FO (later Flt Lt) Cedric Alfred Venner Horne, Perth WA (lost on operations over New Guinea area on 02 April 1945); 422085 Pilot Officer (PO [later Flt Lt]) John William Shipman, Bexley NSW. Flight Lieutenants Crisp, Park, Hughes and Horne were all lost on operations over New Guinea on 2 April 1945. Flt Lt Shipman was lost on operations over New Guinea on 13 March 1945.
