Group portrait of 400835 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) John Thomas Robert, East Malvern, Vic, briefing pilots of No.22 (Boston) Squadron RAAF in the open air before they leave on a strike against Japanese installations. Flt Lt Robert was accidentally killed during a test flight in New Guinea on 20 January 1945; he is buried in the Lae War Cemetery.
