Description
Photocopies of letters of support (1972) received during McClelland's imprisonment following non compliance with the National Service Act. Letters came from fellow teachers and pupils at Hawkesdale School, friends, relatives and members of the Radical Action Movement, Schools Anti-Consripition Campaign and Draft Resistance Movement. Also his original diaries (1966-1972) which record his growing opposition to conscription for service in Vietnam, the immorality of the National Service Act and his reasons for resisting. Also copies of newscuttings relating to his February 1972 arrest, gaoling, April 1972 appeal and release in December 1972. Copy of Order of Service used at the funeral of Kenneth McClelland 1992.
