Description
Matthew Morris worked in the ship's engine room as a Wiper, cleaning up oil spray and helping the engineers. He was on board the Australian Hospital Ship (AHS) Centaur when she was hit and sunk in May 1943, and survived on the same lifeboat as Sister Savage.
