Mannlicher Model 1903/14 Rifle
Description
Mannlicher Model 1903/14 bolt action rifle. Polished bolt with a straight cocking arm and all other steel parts are blued. The breech ring is stamped with the Greek Coat of Arms over Y.1903/14 and on the left side of the receiver STEYR 1914. It has a full wood stock with finger grooves to each side of the fore end (split underneath) and the butt is stamped on the left side with the Greek Coat of Arms within a circle. The sights are a front barleycorn post and an adjustable ramp rear. Complete with sling swivels and a cleaning rod.
History / Summary
This type of rifle was one of the weapons used by the Greek Military Forces during the First World War and was a gift from the Greek Government in the 1930's.
