Lebel Model 1892 Carbine : Greek Army
Description
Lebel Model 1892 bolt action carbine. Receiver marked St Etienne Mle 1892. Barrel knox form stamped MA C 1916 right side and LP over the serial number on the left. It has a one piece wooden stock with a single barrel band and steel end cap incorporating a stacking pin. The butt is stamped 89572. Complete with a cleaning rod.
History / Summary
This rifle was on display in the old Uniform gallery until 1982. It formed part of the Greek Evzones (rifles) peace time privates uniform in full marching order. Donation by the Government of Greece.
