Adams Patent Revolver
Adams Patent five shot percussion revolver. Top frame engraved DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, 30 KING WILLIAM STt LONDON BRIDGE and ADAMS' PATENT with the serial number. The left hand side has a Rigby design cylinder loading lever. The grips are one piece checkered wood and the butt cap has a hinged patch box. This revolver is contained in an oak case measuring 365x200x60 mm and has a 1.5 inch brass disc on the top lid. Inside the lid is a Deane Adams & Deane trade label stating gun makers to H.R.H. Prince Albert. The case has compartments, lined in green baize, with a copper powder flask, a small khaki woolen pouch with the Eley and Deane Adams & Deane trade labels for percussion caps, a tin made by ELEY London with percussion caps, a plastic bag with five lead conical projectiles, five lead balls and some cardboard wads, a brass bullet mould, a wooden cleaning rod, a steel wad cutter, a black wooden handled nipple wrench and a small nickel oil bottle made by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield.
