Nelson, Hank, (Doctor)
Description
Manuscript version of a paper presented by Doctor Hank Nelson "Measuring the railway from individual lives to national history" at the International Colloquium on the construction of the Burma-Thailand Railway. This was held at ANU in August 1991 attended by Japanese and Australian academics and former prisoners of the Japanese. Also included is later addition to the collection (April 2002) a manuscript version of Dr Nelson's book titled "Chased By The Sun: Australians In Bomber Command 1939-1945" (published by ABC Books, 2002). There are minor differences between this manuscript, which is fully footnoted, and the published work, and is intended for use of researchers looking for a more precise guide to sources.
